Frazier Lyons }
And now the prisoner Frazier Lyons being
if he had anything to say
brought into open Court to be sentenced was asked^why
sentence should not be passed upon him him saith nothing
whereupon the Court sentenced the prisoner Frazier Lyons to
hard labor in the State Prison for the term of Two Years
State of Florida }
vs } Assault with intent to Murder
Lot Daniels }
And now the prisoner being brought into
open Court was asked if he had anything to say why
sentence should not be passed upon him saith nothing
whereupon the Court sentenced the prisoner Lot Daniels
to pay a fine of Two hundred dollars and cost
and to stand Committed until the same is paid
Whereupon the Grand Jury came into open Court and
made their General Presentment and were discharged
from further attendance on the Court
It being necessary to continue and hold the Court
for the next the third week of this term and it appearing
to the Court from The evidence from The Clerk of the
Court that the Box containing the Three hundred
selected Jurors was during the removal of the records
of The Clerks Office during the disastrous fire in the
town of Gainesville was accidentally broken open
and the slips of paper upon which the names of
the selected persons were written were lost and
mislaid so that no petit Jury can be drawn and
summoned in the manner provided by law for the
third week of This Term - The Clerk is ordered to issue
a Special Venire to be directed to the Sheriff of the
County Commanding him to summon from the County
at Large Eighteen persons qualified to serve as Petit
Jurors for the Third week of this the Fall Term
of this Court and cause them to appear before
the Court at 10 O'clock on Monday December 15th
1884, to serve as such Petit Jurors
