At a regular
Term of the Circuit Court of the 5th Judicial
Circuit of Florida in and for Alachua County
begun and held at Concordia Hall in the City
of Gainesville in Alachua County Florida
The
following proceedings were begun and held to wit:
At which was present His
Honor Thos F. King Judge of the 5th Judicial
Circuit - Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff of Alachua
County, and J.A. Carlisle Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Alachua County
Whereupon the Court
adjourned until tomorrow morning at Eleven
oclock
Spring Term A.D. 1885
Wednesday May 6th 1885
The Court met pursuant to adjournment of
yesterday His Honor Thos F. King Judge presi-
ding
Whereupon Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff of
Alachua County haveing returned the Venire
Facias for the Grand Jury as having been
duly executed by Summoning the following named
persons to wit: G.H. Tyson, John B. Dell, J.R.
Emerson, J.I. Halbrook H.C. Gibbons, W.K. Boston
Isaac T. Guinn, C.A. Sheldon, W.H. Kayton, A.M. An-
drews, J.D. Cromwell, W.T. Shuford, J.H. Avera, John
E. Futch, J.L. Solomon, M.J. Beckham, F.B. Dell
and that Wallace E. Rice was not to be found
in the County
Whereupon the Court for good Cause shown ex-
cused A.M. Andrews J.D. Cromwell, John E. Futch
and J.L. Solomon from attendance on the Court
Whereupon
W.T. Shuford, and J.H. Avera failed to
appear,
Whereupon the Court issued the following order
to wit:
It appearing that there is a dificiency
of Seven Grand Jurors for this term of Court
it is ordered that a writ of venire Facias
do issue to the Sheriff of Alachua County
Commanding him to Summon and return
