In Circuit Court 5th Judicial
Circuit of Florida Alachua County
It appearing to the Court that there is a
necessity for a Petit Jury for the second week of this Term of the
Court
It is therefore ordered by the Court that S.C. Tucker Sheriff
J.A. Carlisle Clerk and the County Judge or a Justice in the absence
of said Judge of the Peace forthwith draw from the Box Containing
the names of Three hundred selected Jurors Eighteen (18) persons to
serve as Petit Jurors for the 2nd week of this term and that the
Clerk of the Court do issue a Venire Facias directed to the Sheriff
Comanding him to summon the said Eighteen persons as drawn
Done and ordered in open Court May 8th 1885

Whereupon the Sheriff Samuel C. Tucker and the Clerk J.A.
Carlisle and J.A. Cone Justice of the Peace in open Court
in obedience to said order drew from the Box in open Court
the following named persons to wit

5 Simeon Fagan 14 Samuel L. Smith

8 Herbert Gay 17 J.S. Crown Jr.
9 E.K. Fagan 18 F.J. Hammond
Whereupon the Clerk issued the Venire Facias directed
to the Sheriff for the foregoing Petit Jury
Whereupon the
Court adjourned until Monday
