And now the Grand Jury having completed
their labors presented and read their General
Presentment
Whereupon the Court discharged the Grand Jury
from further attendance on the Court at this
term.

And now this cause coming on
to be heard and W.A. Hocker State attorney prose
Cuting in the name and by the authority of the State
of Florida and the Defendants appearing in open
Court in their own proper person as well as by their
attorneys S.Y. Finley and Taylor & Sanchez. Whereupon
a severance as to the Defendants was ordered by
the Court. Whereupon the prisoner Enock Cartwright
being forthwith demanded how he would acquit
himself of the Charge against him saith that
he is not guilty as the Indictment alleges and for
good and evil he puts himself upon God and
the Country for trial whereupon a Jury was Called
and there came J.D. George, J.B. Dill, W.H.H. Holdridge
Isaac Mizell, J.F. Futch and L.W. Fennell who
were duly Sworn and empanelled to well and
truly try the Difference pending and thereafter on
after hearing the evidence and the Charge of
the Court retired to Consider of their verdict and
thereafter on the Same day returned into open
