ing on to be heard W.A. Hocker State attorney pros-
ecuting in the name and by the authority of the
State of Florida and the prisoner appearing in
open Court in his own proper person as well as
by S.Y. Finley his attorney, Whereupon the prisoner
being forthwith demanded how he would acquit
himself of the Charge against him Saith that
he is not guilty as the Indictment alleges against
him and for good and evil he puts himself upon
God and the Country for trial whereupon a Jury
was called and there came, W.H.H. Holdridge
Isaac Mizell - E.K. Fagan, J.S. Crown Jr., and
now the Venire being exhausted there came Wm H.
Williamson from the by standers - and there came
J.D. George - who were duly Sworn and empanelled
to well and truly try the difference pending and
thereafter after hearing the evidence the argument of
Counsel and the Charge of the Court retired to
Consider of their verdict and thereafter on the Same
day returned into open Court and rendered the
following verdict to wit: We the Jury find the defen-
dant guilty So Say we all J.D. George Foreman
