At a regular term of the Circuit Court of
the 5th Judicial Circuit of Florida in and
for Alachua County for the Fall Term AD 1885
                    Concordia Hall 
begun and holden at the Court House in the
City of Gainesville in Alachua County Florida
                                            The
following proceedings were begun and held
to wit
   At which was present His Honor Thos F.
King Judge, Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff of
Alachua County and J.A. Carlisle Clerk

Whereupon Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff of
Alachua County having returned the Venire
Facias for the Grand Jury as having been
executed by Summoning the following named
persons to wit: 1 L.H. Bennett 2. M.L. Lambdin
3 I.U. Malphurs 4 James Doig 5 J.A. Meador -
6 T.W. Dawkins 7 V.H. Ellis 8 L.B. Doke 9. A.L. Mar-
key 10 W.H. Traxler 11- Chas S. Bennett 12 A.C. Beck -
ham 13 John R. Sloan, 14 J.R. Adkins, 15 C.E. Haile
16. J.M. Holt and that John E. Hill and
Joseph Eschleman were not to be found in
the County
Whereupon the Court for good and sufficient
Cause shown excused L.H. Bennett, J.A. Mea-
dor, A.C. Beckham and J.R. Sloan from further
attendance on this Court as Grand Jurors
Whereupon the Court issued the following
order to wit:
            In Circuit Court 5th Judicial Circuit
            of Florida  Alachua County
It appearing to the Court that there is an
insufficiency of six Jurors present to Complete
the Panel of the Grand Jury for this term-
                                     It is therefore
ordered by the Court that the Clerk of this Court
issue a venire facias to the Sheriff of the
County to forthwith summon from the body of
the County six persons to complete said panel
of the Grand Jury           Thos F. King

Whereupon the Clerk of the Court having issued
said Venire Facias as by the Court directed
