} And now this Cause coming
on to be heard W.A. Hocker State attorney prosecu-
ting in the name and by the authority of the
State of Florida and the prisoner appearing in
open Court in his own proper person as well as
by his attorneys W.E. Dunson & J.E. Alexander and
now the prisoner Jack Phillips being demanded
how he would acquit himself of the Charge against
him saith that he is guilty as the Indictment
against him alleges -

Phillips be in open Court for Sentence
was demanded if he had any thing to say
why Sentence should not be passed on him
Saith nothing: Whereupon the Court Sentenced
the prisoner Jack Phillips to confinement in
the States Prison at hard labor for the space
of One Year.
