Tuesday December 8th 1885
R.F. Taylor and now the prisoner being demanded
how he would acquit himself of the Charge against
him saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment
against him alleges Whereupon a Jury was called
and there came L.C. Ellis, Wiley Howard
Pat Smith, Jas Davis J.J. Thompson and
H. Pinkoson who were duly Sworn and empanelled
to well and truly try the difference pending and
thereafter after hearing the evidence the Charge of
the Court and the argument of Counsel retired to
Consider of their verdict and thereafter on the
Same day returned into open Court and rendered
the following verdict to wit: Dec 8th 1885
We the Jury find the prisoner not guilty

Whereupon the Sheriff was directed by the
Court to hold the prisoner until he could
Confer with the Sheriff of Levy County to find
out whether there was a charge against him
