At a regular term of the Circuit Court of the 5th
Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida in and for
Alachua County for the Spring Term A.D. 1886
begun and holden at the Court House in the City
of Gainesville in Alachua County.
The following proceedings were begun and held
to wit
At which was present his Honor Thomas F.
King Judge, Hon William A. Hocker, States
attorney, Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff and J.A. Carlisle
Clerk
Whereupon
Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff of Alachua
County having returned the Venire Facias for the
Grand Jury as having been executed by Summon-
ing the following named persons to wit:
Dan Vaughn - R.H. Hall, E.C. Bailey, B.M. Reeves
Reuben Bennett, W.W. Brice, A.W. Leighton, George
Chamberlin, D.C. Hart, S.F. Waits, Frank Kelly, S.V.
Gaskin, G.W. Burnett, L.W. Jackson, H. Riviere
H.H. McCreary and G.W. Ferrill and that Wm Jeffords
was not to be found in the County
Whereupon
the Court for good Cause shown excused
R.H. Hall, B.M. Reeves H.H. McCreary and A.W. Leighton
from further attendance on the Court.
Whereupon
the Court issued the following order to wit
It appearing that there is a deficiency of five grand
Jurors to Serve at this term of the Court, It is ordered
that a Venire Facias be issued returnable instanter
for five Grand Jurors Thos F. King Judge -
Whereupon the Clerk of this Court issued the
Venire Facias for five Grand Jurors as by the order
of the Court directed - now comes Samuel C. Tucker
and returns the said Venire Facias as having been
duly executed by summoning the following named per-
sons to wit: C.C. Worley, J.A. Conaway, J.S. Dupuis
J.B. Coker and L.K. Rawlins -
Whereupon
The Panel of the Grand Jury being now
full the Grand Jury retired to their room to
