Court met pursuant to adjournment of yesterday

And now this cause coming on to be heard
William A. Hocker State Attorney prosecuting in the name and by the authority of
the State of Florida and the Prisoners Jake Jackson and Wesley Thomas
appearing into open Court in their own proper persons as well as by their
Attorneys Messrs Thrasher Scott & Lewey whereupon the prisoners being
demanded how they would acquit themselves of the Charge against them
saith they are not guilty of the Charge as the Indictment Alledges against
them and for good and evil put themselves upon God and the County
for trial. Whereupon a Jury was called and there came J.H. Dampier
M.G. McCarroll Marion Campbell Robt McClellan Jas Bradshaw & J.D.
Matheson who were duly Sworn and empanelled to well and truly try
the diference pending between the State of Florida and the Prisoners Jake
Jackson and Wesley Thomas and thereafter after hearing the evidence the
argument of Counsel and the charge of the Court retired to consider of
their verdict and thereafter after on the same day returned into open
court and rendered the following verdict to wit We the Jury find the
Prisoners not guilty
