} And now the prisoner being in open
Court for sentence was demanded if he had any thing
to say why sentence should not be passed upon him
saith nothing - Whereupon the Court sentenced the prisoner
Edward Danzy to pay a fine of Six hundred dollars
together with the Costs of this Court and that he stand
Committed until said fine and costs are paid

And now the motion for a
new trial in this Cause came on to be heard and
after argument thereon the Court being advised of its
opinion rendered its Judgment granting a new
trial in said Cause

its Judgment that said motion for a new trial
should not be granted to which ruling and opinion
of the Court the Defendant by his attys then and
there excepted

of Judgment came on to be heard and after argu-
ment thereon the Court being advised of its opinion
did decide and render its Judgment that said
motion for a new trial should not be granted
to which motion and ruling of the Defendant by
his attys then and there excepted
