Fall Term  AD 1886
     Tuesday November 30th 1886
                                 At a regular
term of the Circuit Court of the 5th Judicial
Circuit of the State of Florida in and for the
County of Alachua For the Fall Term AD 1886
begun and holden at the Court House in the
City of Gainesville in the County of Alachua, The
following proceedings were begun and held to wit

At which was present his Honor Thomas F. King
Judge of the 5th Judicial Circuit of Florida, Hon
W.H. Wigg States Attorney Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff
of Alachua County and J.A. Carlisle Clerk of this
Court

Whereupon the Sheriff of Alachua County having
returned the Venire Facias for the Grand Jury as
having been duly executed by Summoning the fol-
lowing named persons to wit:
F.W. Polk, E.A. Jeffords  J.D. Martin, J.H. Spires
J.C. Baxler  L.E. Means, J.C. Winecoff, B.W. Powell
J. Katz, Thomas N. Gardner, R.B. Taylor, W.S. Moore
W.B. Phifer  R.B. Smith, J.A. Simonton, W.H.
Harrison & F.E. Cellon and that Robert Jeffords
was not to be found in the County

And now the Court for good Cause Shown
excused E.A. Jeffords and W.S. Moore from
further attendance on the Court as Grand Jurors.

Whereupon the Court issued the following order
    It appearing that there is a deficiency
of Five persons to Serve as Grand Jurors at this
term of the Court - It is ordered that a special
Venire issue to Summon Five Jurors to Serve
on the Grand Jury at this term said Venire to be
returnable instanter         Thos F. King

Whereupon the Clerk having issued the Special
Venire as by the order of the Court directed -
The Sheriff returned the Same as having been
duly executed by Summoning the following named
persons to wit: W.W. Spires W.H. Baltzell Benj
Rush N.W. Malphurs and R.W. Mills -
