Fall Term AD 1886
Tuesday November 30th 1886
Whereupon
the Panel of the Grand Jury being now
full - the Grand Jury retired to their Room
to select a Foreman
And now the Grand Jury came into open
Court and announced to the Court that they
had Selected Benjamin W. Powell as the
Foreman of the Grand Jury
Whereupon the Following named Eighteen (18)
persons were duly Sworn and empanelled
as the Grand Jury in and for Alachua County
at this the Fall Term of our Circuit Court
to wit:

2 J.D. Martin 10 J.A. Simonton
3 J.C. Baxler 11. W.H. Harrison
4 L.E. Means 12. F.E. Cellon
5. J.C. Winecoff 13. W.W. Spires
6. J. Katz 14. W.H. Baltzell
7 Thomas N. Gardner 15. Benj Rush
8. R.B. Taylor 16 N.W. Malphurs
9. R.B. Smith 17. R.W. Mills
18. W.B. Phifer
And now the Court having duly charged the
Grand Jury as to their duties the Grand Jury
retired to their Room under the Charge of
S.P. Bevill who had been duly Sworn as
Bailiff to the Grand Jury -
Whereupon the Sheriff having returned the
Venire Facias for the Pettit Jury as having
been duly executed by Summoning the foll-
owing named persons to wit: J.B. Coker, W.W. Pope
C.W. Stephens. F.P. Whittenburg, J.G. Dampier, J.R. Shaw
J.L. Crawford, Ferd Bayer, C.F. Parker, T.C. Holden
J.E. Patton, B.J. Earle, T.A. Dromgoole H.C. Cato and
W.H. Sanders and that Smith Keeler Wash
Beauford Geo W. Boston are not to be found in the
County
Whereupon the Court for good Cause shown excused
J.G. Damper J.P. Shaw and B.J. Earle from further
attendance on the Court
