Spring Term A.D. 1881
Wednesday April 27th 1881
Whereupon the Court issued the following order to wit
Alachua County
Spring Term 1881
It appearing to the Court that there is a ne-
cessity to hold the term of the spring Term of
this Court during the 2d week of said Term
it is ordered that Eighteen names be drawn from
the list of 300, in the Box according to law
to attend as Jurors for the Second Week of
this term James B. Dawkins
27th April 1881 Judge &c
Whereupon in obedience to the Order of the Court
the County Judge, the Sheriff and the Clerk
of the Circuit Court drew Eighteen Jurors to
serve during the second week of this the Spring
Term of our said Court
Whereupon the Clerk of the Circuit Court is-
sured the Venire facias for the Jury for
the second week of this the Spring Term
of our Circuit Court =
Whereupon the Court adjourned until half past
nine tomorrow morning

and now this Cause coming
on to be heard, W.A. Hocker state attorney prosecuting
in the name and by the authority of the State of
Florida and the prisoner appearing in his own proper
person as well as by his attorney O.A. Myers
Whereupon the prisoner was arraigned and upon
his arraignment saith that he is not guilty and
for good and evil he puts himself upon god and
the Country for trial whereupon a Jury was
