Spring Term 
       Thursday April 28th 1881
Called and there came, J.J. Jones, Oscar Wiggins
G.W. Scofield, J.S. Dupuis, M.S. Cheves and R.C.
Bradley who were duly sworn and empanelled
to well and truly try the issue joined there-
after after hearing the evidence and the
Charge of the Court retired to consider of their
Verdict and thereafter on the same day
returned into open Court and rendered
the following verdict to wit: We the Jury
find the prisoner guilty of both Larcenies
                         M.S. Cheves
                            Foreman
Whereupon the Court sentenced the Prisoner
to Hard Labor in the States Prison for the
space of Two Years -

Josiah T. Walls }  E.C.F. Sanchez
        vs      }  Forcible Entry and unlawful detain-
M. Endel & Son  }  er.
                }  Goss Thrasher & Hampton
                     And now this Cause coming on
to be heard and the issue being joined a Jury was
called and there came J.D. Matheson, McK F. McCook,
M.S. Cheves, G.W. Watts, A.J. Collins and W.W. Scott who
were duly Sworn to well and truly try whether the defen-
dants at any time within three years before the filing
of the Complaint in this cause, did forcibly or unlaw-
fully enter upon the property in the Complaint mentioned,
and turned the plaintiff out of the possession thereof,
and whether the defendants continued to hold the
possession thereof at the time of filing his Complaint
and you shall find a true verdict thereupon and assess
such damages as may be recoverable according to the
evidence, And thereafter after hearing a part of the
evidence -

Whereupon the Court adjourned until half
past Nine Oclock tomorrow morning
