                          And now on this day this Cause
      came on to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney
      prosecuting in the name and by the authority of the
      State of Florida and the prisoner appearing in open
      Court in his own proper person as well as by his attorneys
      Mess Hampton & Hampton. Whereupon the prisoner being
      arraigned saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment
      alleges against him and for good and evil he puts him-
      self upon God and the Country for trial
