State of Florida }  Wigg
        vs       }  Having a concealed weapon on his
Cooper Pelot     }  person
                 }  And now on this day this Cause
came on to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney
prosecuting in the name and by the authority of the
State of Florida and the prisoner appearing in his
own proper person being demanded how he would
acquit himself of the Charge against saith that
he is guilty as the Indictment alleges against him
Whereupon
        The Court Sentenced the Prisoner Cooper
Pelot to pay a fine of Ten Dollars and the Costs 
of the Court and to stand Committed until the
said fine and cost are paid.

Loyd Williams    }  A.J. Cone, S.Y. Finley
                 }  And now the hearing of
this Cause is resumed the Prisoner being in
open Court in his own proper person as like
wise the States attorney and the attorneys for the
Defendant and also, the Jury who had been
duly Sworn and empanelled on yesterday in
this Cause to wit:  George Easterlin, C.B. Turner, H.N.
Richard, J.R. Tompkies, P.Y. Smith, R.M. Witt, C.D.
Schafer, Burrel Wiggins, J.R. Faircloth, S.L. Blanton
D.J. Dinkins and D.A. Robertson, and the Jury aforesaid
after hearing the balance of the evidence the argu-
ment of Counsel and the Charge of the Court retired
to consider of their verdict: and thereafter on the
Same day returned into open Court and rendered
the following verdict to wit:  We the Jury find
prisoner Guilty of Murder in the second Degree
and ask the mercy of the Court

Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at half past Eight oclock
