Spring Term AD 1887
      Tuesday May 3rd 1887
                                At a regular
term of the Circuit Court of the 5th Judicial
Circuit of the State of Florida in and for
the County of Alachua for the Spring Term
AD 1887 begun and holden at the Court House
                         Florida 
in the City of Gainesville^the following proceed-
ings were begin and held to wit:

  Which was present his Honor Thos F. King Judge
of the 5th Judicial Circuit of the State of
Florida, Hon W.H. Wigg States attorney Samuel
H. Wienges Sheriff of Alachua County and
J.A. Carlisle Clerk of this Court

Whereupon on motion of Hon W.H. Wigg States
Attorney the writs of Venire Facias for the
Grand Jury as also like wise that of the Petit
Juries was quashed -

Whereupon the Court issued the following order
to wit
      It appearing that no Grand and Pettit Jurors
have been drawn and Summoned in the manner
provided by law for the Spring term of the Circuit
Court of Alachua County in the year 1887 in the
manner provided by law the Clerk of the said
Circuit Court is hereby ordered to issue Special
venires for Eighteen Grand Jurors and Eighteen
Pettit Jurors to Serve as such at said Spring Term
said Venire to be directed to the Sheriff of Alachua
County & Commanding him to Summon said Jurors
from the by standers or the body of said County at
large said Jurors to be qualified Jurors

Whereupon the Clerk of this Court having
     Special      
issued the^Venire facias for the Grand
Jury now Comes Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff of
Alachua County and returns said Venire
Facias as having been executed by Summoning
