Spring Term AD 1887
Tuesday May 3rd 1887 -
and 18 Joseph A. Shannon -
Whereupon the Panel of the Grand Jury being now
full the Grand Jury retired to select a Foreman
And now the Grand Jury came into open Court
and announced to the Court that they had
Selected Joseph A. Shannon for their Foreman -
Whereupon the following named Eighteen men were
duly Sworn and empanelled as the Grand Jury
in and for the body of the County of Alachua
at this the Spring Term of this our Circuit Court
AD 1887 to wit

And now the Court having duly Charged the
Grand Jury as to their duties the Grand Jury
retired to their Room under the Charge of
S.P. Bevill who had been duly Sworn as
Bailiff to the Grand Jury -
Whereupon the Clerk of this Court having issued
the Special Venire Facias for the Petit Jury as
by the Court directed. Now Comes Samuel H.
Wienges Sheriff of Alachua County and returns
the said Special Venire facias as having been
Executed by Summoning the 1 D.N. Lane 2 E.C. Pound

6 L.L. Hill 7 H.C. Atwater 8 R.C. Martin - 9 Wiley Hines

Whereupon the Court for Good cause shown excused
Daniel Vaughn from further attendance of this
Court.
