Wednesday May 11th 1887
Whereupon John E. Lambeth being now in open
Court is now duly Sworn and qualified as an
attorney at Law.
Whereupon it ordered by the Court that John
E. Lambeth Esqr be duly admitted to practice
in all the Courts of both Law and Equity in
the State of Florida
Whereupon the Grand Jury Came into open
Court and rendered the following Indictment
of The State of Florida } Indictment for
vs } Larceny
Derry Nettles } A True Bill

} And now this cause came
on to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney
prosecuting in the name and by the authority
of the State of Florida and the prisoner ap-
pearing in open Court in his own proper person
as well as by his attorney M.M. Lewey and
now the prisoner being forthwith demanded
how he would acquit himself of the Charge
against him saith that he is not guilty
as the Indictment alleges against him
and for Good and evil he puts himself upon
God and the Country for trial whereupon a
Jury was called and there came R.E. Wright
Reuben May, T.J. May, W.H. Thompson B.E. Moore
A.O. Steenberg who were duly Sworn and empanelled
to well and truly try the difference pending
and thereafter after hearing the evidence the
argument of Counsel and the Charge of the
Court retired to Consider of their verdict and
thereafter on the Same day returned into open
Court and rendered the following verdict to
wit: We the Jury find the prisoner Guilty and
recommend him to the mercy of the Court
