Spring Term A.D. 1887
        Thursday May 12th 1887
Charge against them saith that they are not
guilty as the Indictment alleges against them
and for good and evil they put themselves upon
God and the Country for trial, whereupon a Jury
was called and there came Dote Weeks -
R.E. Wright, M.J. Beckham, Reuben May, T.J.
May W.H. Thompson who were duly sworn
and empanelled to well and truly try the
difference pending and thereafter after hearing
the evidence the argument of Counsel and the
Charge of the Court retired to consider of their
verdict under Instructions from the Court
to bring in a sealed verdict on tomorrow
morning

Whereupon the Court adjourned until
half past Eight oclock tomorrow morning

       Friday May 13th 1887
The Court met this day pursuant to ad-
journment of yesterday his Honor Thos F. King
Judge presiding -

State of Florida }  Wigg
         vs      }  Larceny of a domestic
Jesse Robinson & }       Animal
Anthony Williams }  Cone & Axtell
                     And now the Hon W.H.
Wigg State attorney as also the prisoners
and their came A.J. Cone and E.P. Axtell being
in open Court as likewise the Jury in this
Cause who had retired to consider of their
Verdict in this Cause on yesterday under in
structions from the Court to bring in a sealed
verdict to wit: Dote Weeks M.J. Beckham
Reuben May T.J. May W.H. Thompson R.E. Wright
Whereupon the Jury aforesaid rendered the
following verdict to wit: We the Jury find
the prisoner guilty   M.J. Beckham
                          Foreman
Whereupon the Grand Jury came into open
Court and rendered the following Indictment
of
