Thursday December 8th 1887
who were duly Sworn and empanelled to well and
try the issues joined and thereafter after hearing
the evidence the argument of Counsel and the
Charge of the Court retired to consider of their
verdict and thereafter the Same day returned
into open Court and rendered the following
Verdict to wit: }

Florida Railway and }
Navigation Company } We the Jury find the
Defendant Guilty and asses the Plaintiffs
damages at Seven Hundred ($70000) Dollars
with interest from December 7th A.D. 1885 at
Eight per Cent per annum

Whereupon it is ordered Considered and adjudged
by the Court that the Plaintiff do have and recover
of and from the Defendant the Sum of Eight
Hundred and Twelve ($81200) Dollars for his
damages together with his Costs in this behalf
expended taxed at one hundred and Sixty nine Dollars
and Seventy Cents and the Defendant in
mercy &c
