Monday December 12th 1887
the prisoner appearing in open Court in his own proper
person and being forthwith demanded how he
would acquit himself of the Charge against him
saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment
alleges against him and for good and evil he puts
himself upon God and the Country for trial

And now his Cause came on
to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney
prosecuting in the name and by the authority
of the State of Florida and the prisoner ap
pearing in open Court in his own proper
person and now the prisoner being demanded
how he would acquit himself of the Charge
against him saith that he is guilty of an
Aggravated assault.

And now the prisoner being
in open Court for sentence was demanded
if he had any thing to say why sentence should
not be passed upon him saith nothing
Whereupon the Court sentenced the prisoner
to pay a fine of One Hundred dollars
and the Costs of this Court and to stand
Committed until said fine and Costs are paid
