       Fall Term  A.D. 1887
           Thursday December 15th 1887
       State of Florida }  Wigg
# 49           vs       }  Having a Concealed weapon on
       David Hall       }  and about his person
                           F.E. Hughes
                           And now this Cause came on
       to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney prosecu-
       ting in the name and by the authority of the
       State of Florida and the prisoner appearing in
       open Court in his own proper person as well as
       by F.E. Hughes Esq his atty and being forthwith de-
       manded how he would acquit himself  of the Charge
       against him saith that he is not guilty as the
       Indictment alleges against him and for good and
       evil he puts himself upon God and the Country
       for trial whereupon a Jury was called and there
       came W.S. Land W.B. Patterson Leroy N. Pearce
       Frank X. Miller, M.A. Dinsler, T.M. Cauthen
       who were duly Sworn and empanelled to well and
       truly try the difference pending and thereafter after
       hearing the evidence the argument of Counsel
       And the Charge of the Court retired to Consider
       of their verdict and thereafter on the Same day
       returned into open Court and rendered the fol-
       lowing verdict to wit: We the Jury find the
       Defendant Guilty.   W.S. Land  Foreman -

       James M. Parkerson }  And now this Cause is Continued
                          }  by the State -

       State of Florida }  Wigg & Ashby
# 56           vs       }  Assault with intent to commit
       Joe Smith        }  Rape
                           Taylor & Carter
                       And now on this day this Cause
       came on to be heard William H. Wigg State
       attorney prosecuting in the name and by the
       authority of the State of Florida and the prisoner
       appearing in open Court in his own proper person
       as well as by Mesrs Taylor & Carter his attys and
       being demanded how he would acquit himself of
       the charge against him saith that he is not
       guilty as the Indictment alleges against him
       and for good and evil he puts himself upon
