Whereupon and now the Grand Jury having
finished their labors now in open
Court present their General Presentment
and have the same read and were discharged
from further attendance on the Court

And now on this day this
Cause came on to be heard William H. Wigg State
atty prosecuting in the name and by the
authority of the State of Florida and the
prisoner appearing in open Court in his own
proper person as well as by G.J. Arnow his atty
and now the prisoner being demanded how he
would acquit himself of the Charge against
him saith that he is not guilty as the
Indictment alleges against him and for
Good and evil he puts himself upon God and
the Country for trial whereupon a Jury was called
and there came Frank X. Miller, O.T. Cannon
S.G. Matthews, Z.T. Taylor, T.J. May, Allen Goolsby
who were duly Sworn and empanelled to well
and truly try the difference pending and thereafter
after hearing the evidence the argument of
Counsel and the Charge of the Court
retired to consider of their Verdict and
