       thereafter on the Same day returned into open
       Court and rendered the following verdict to wit:
       Gainesville Florida
            Friday Decr 16th 1887
       We the Jury find the prisoner guilty
                        So Say we all
                               F.X. Miller   Foreman
       State of Florida }
               vs       }  Sentence
       Abe Sanders      }
                         And now the prisoner being
       in open Court for sentence was demanded if
       he had any thing to say why sentence should
       not be passed upon him saith nothing
       Whereupon the Court sentenced the prisoner
       to confinement in the County Jail for one month -

       State of Florida }   Wigg
# 60          vs        }  Larceny of a Domestic Animal
       Rollin Strappier }   Goss
                          And now this Cause Came
       on to be heard William H. Wigg State atty pros-
       ecuting in the name and by the authority of
       the State of Florida and the prisoner being in
       open Court in his own proper person as well as
       by J.H. Goss his atty and now the prisoner being
       demanded how he would acquit himself of the
       Charge against him saith that he is not guilty
       as the Indictment alleges against him and
       for good and Evil he puts himself upon God and
       the Country for trial Whereupon a Jury was called and
       there came W.B. Patterson Frank X. Miller M.A.
       Dinsler T.M. Cauthen O.P. Cannon, S.G. Matthews
       who were duly Sworn and empanelled to well and
       truly try the difference pending and thereafter after
       hearing the evidence the argument of Counsel and
       the Charge of the Court retired to Consider of 
       their verdict and thereafter on the same day re-
       turned into open Court and rendered the fol-
       lowing verdict to wit:  We the Jury find the Defend-
       ant Guilty  So Say we all
