Whereupon J.D. George having failed to answer
when called was sentenced to pay a fine
of Twenty Dollars as a Defaulting Juror

And now the hearing
of this Cause is resumed the States attorney
William H. Wigg and the prisoner being in
open Court in his own proper person as
well as by his attys Taylor & Carter also the
Juror Chas L. Slaughter who had been selected
on yesterday and there came - Charles L.
Slaughter, 2. Saml Fewell - 3 P.B.H. Dudley 4.
J.B. Coker 5. Thos Fisher, 6. J.A. Tucker, 7. S. Shiretzki
8 J.I.P. Johns - 9 J.M. Guinn, 10 - W.J. Knight 11 J.M.
Slater, 12 and Ferd Bayer - who were duly
Sworn to well and truly try the difference pend-
ing between the State of Florida and the pris-
oner at the bar and thereafter after hearing
a part of the evidence -
Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at nine oclock -
