      And
        now the Sheriff Saml H. Wienges having
      returned the Venire Facias for the Petit Jury
      for this the 3rd Week of this term as having
      been duly executed by Summoning the following
      named persons - James Ritchie, CW. Adkins - M.I.
      Jones, A.O. Steenburg - S.J. Kennard Jr. - N.E. Benson -
      W.H. Davis, Daniel Vaughn, J.C. Hagood - C.A. Williams
      Isaac T. Guinn, Marion Osteen, W.H. Bracey - J.T. Woods -
      J.J. Burton, John F. Donaldson - F.J. Hammond - and
      that A.W. Vaughn was not to be found in the County
      Whereupon
              the Court for good Cause shown excused

      on to be heard this day William H. Wigg State
      Attorney prosecuting in the name and by the
      authority of the State of Florida and the prisoner
      appearing in open Court in his own proper
      person as well as by his attorney E.C.F. Sanchez -
      and now the prisoner being forthwith demanded
      how he would acquit himself of the Charge against
      him Saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment
      alleges against him and for good and evil he
      puts himself upon God and the Country for
      trial -
