And now this Cause came on to
be heard William H. Wigg State attorney prosecuting
in the name and by the authority of the State of
Florida and the prisoner appearing in open Court
in his own proper person as well as by his attorney
S.Y. Finley and being demanded how he would acquit
himself of the Charge against him saith that he is
not guilty as the Indictment alleges against
him and for good and evil he puts himself upon
God and the Country for trial -

} And now on this day this Cause
came on to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney
prosecuting in the name and by the authority
of the State of Florida and the prisoner appearing
in open Court in his own proper person as well
as by his attorney S.Y. Finley and now the prisoner
being brought to the bar herein under the Custody
of Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff of Alachua County to
which Sheriff he is likewise Committed and now the
prisoner being demanded how he would acquit him-
self of the Charge against him saith that he is not
guilty as the Indictment alleges against him and
for good and evil he puts himself upon God and
the Country for trial -
Whereupon the Grand Jury Came into open
Court and rendered the following Indictments
of the State of Florida
