Friday July 6th 1888 -
and C.O. Hampton being now in open Court as
likewise the Jurors who had been accepted
before the recess to wit M.I. Jones - Daniel Vaughn
and J.J Burton the hearing of this cause was
resumed and there came as Jurors in this
cause M.I. Jones Daniel Vaughn, J.J. Burton
G.A.M. Rains J.H. Jarvis O.L. York W.J.G. Adams
T.M. Kirby J.E. Ackley L.J. Knight Lewis
Johnson L. Moore, who were duly Sworn
and empanelled to well and truly ^try and true deliv-
erance make between the State of Florid and
the prisoner at the bar whom you shall have in
charge according to the evidence so help you God
Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at eight oclock

The Court met this day pursuant to adjournment
of yesterday his Honor J.J. Finley Judge presiding -

attorney prosecuting in the name and by the
authority of the State of Florida and the prisoner
Peter Jackson being in open Court in his own
proper person as well as by his attorneys J.E. Lambeth
and C.O Hampton and the Jury who had been
duly Sworn and empanelled in this Cause on
yesterday to wit: M.I. Jones, Daniel Vaughn, J.J.
Burton, G.A.M. Rains, J.H. Jarvis, O.L. York, W.J.G.
Adams, T.M. Kirby, J.E. Ackley, L.J. Knight, Lewis
Johnson and L. Moore being now also in open
the hearing of this cause was resumed
Court^and the Jury aforesaid after hearing the
evidence the argument of Counsel and the Charge
of the Court retired to consider of their
Verdict =
Whereupon James B. Cullen was duly Sworn as
a bailiff to the Jury in the Case of the
State of Florida vs. Peter Jackson
