And now the Jury Came
into open Court and asked the Court to report
the reading of his Charge on the question of
doubt which request was granted and the
Jury aforesaid again retired to consider of
their verdict

And now the Jury aforesaid
Came into open Court and announced to the
Court that they were unable to agree upon
a verdict whereupon the Court directed the
Jury to retire and again Consider of their
verdict
Whereupon the Court adjourned until nine
oclock on Monday morning next -

The Court met this day pursuant to adjournment
of Saturday his Honor J.J. Finley Judge presiding
State of Florida } Wigg & Jno W. Ashby

Peter Jackson } J.E. Lambeth & C.O. Hampton
And now on this day William
H. Wigg State attorney prosecuting in the name and
by the authority of the State of Florida and the
prisoner Peter Jackson being in open Court his
own proper person as well as by his attorneys J.E.
Lambeth and C.O. Hampton and the Jury who
had on the 7th day of July A.D. 1888 retired to
Consider of their Verdict now came into open
Court to wit: M.I. Jones, Daniel Vaughn, J.J. Burton
G.A.M. Rains, J.H. Jarvis, O.L. York, W.J.G. Adams
T.M. Kirby, J.E. Ackley, L.J. Knight, Lewis Johnson
L. Moore and answer to the Court that they
had not concluded on a verdict
Whereupon the Court ordered that a mistrial
