Monday November 28th A.D. 1881
Whereupon the Clerk and Sheriff and the County Judge
of said County in open Court drew from the Box
containing the list of Three hundred selected Jurors
the following named good and lawful men to wit:
1 J.M. Dell 2. Hayward Bell 3 Wm Stroble 4 I.C. Corbett 5 L.
Wertheim 6 Floyd Dukes 7. Jno L. Curry 8. J.E. Canard 9
W.A. Carlton, 10 V.H. Ellis, 11 J.J. Kennard 12. J.P. Abbott
13 P.F. Wilson 14 J.D. Young 15. D.C. Hart
Whereupon the Sheriff having returned the Venire
facias for the Petit Jury as having been executed
by summoning the following named person to wit
1 Albert Strickland 2 E.W. Smith 3 J.M. Endel 4 Jno
Burnett 5 H.M. Tillis 6. J.R. Bevill 7 N.J. Barry 8 Geo
Gallin 9 J.B. Mixson 10 J.K. Johnson 11 Frank Boales
12 Louis Bennett, 13 G. Joseph 14 F.F. Paulling 15 and
Robert Kite and 1 R.C. McCall 2 Wm Fagan and
3 Joshua Asbell not to be found in the
County
Whereupon the Court for good and sufficient
cause shown excused Frank Boales and J.K.
Johnson from further attendance upon this
Court
Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at ten oclock

The Court met pursuant to adjournment of
yesterday His Honor James B. Dawkins
Judge presiding
Whereupon the Sheriff having executed the
special venire facias for the Grand Jury as
having been executed by summoning the following
named persons to wit: J.D. Young, J.J. Kennard
P.F. Wilson J.M. Dell and Floyd Dukes
Whereupon it appearing to the Court that there
is in attendance upon the Court sixteen persons
duly summoned to Serve as Grand Jurors they
were directed by the Court to retire and elect
a foreman
Whereupon the Sixteen persons duly drawn to
serve as Grand Jurors for this the fall
