Tuesday July 24th 1888 -
The Court met this day pursuant to
adjournment of yesterday His Honor J.J.
Finley Judge presiding
State of Florida } Wigg
# 33. vs E- } Uttering a forged instrument
Ransom Dukes } S.Y. Finley
And now this cause came on
to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney prosecuting
in the name and by the authority of the State of
Florida and the prisoner appearing in open Court in
his proper person as well as by his attorney S.Y. Finley
and now comes the Prisoner Ransom Dukes and in open
Court withdraws his plea of Not Guilty and saith that
he is guilty as the Indictment alleges against him

Ransom Dukes } And now the Prisoner being in open
Court for sentence was demanded if he had anything
to say why sentence should not be passed upon him
saith nothing Whereupon the Court sentenced the
prisoner Ransom Dukes to Confinement in the States
Prison at hard labor for the space of Two Years -

And now this Cause is Nol
prossed by the State

# 38 vs } Having a Concealed weapon on
Edward Adams } and about his person
And now this Cause came on
to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney prosecuting
in the name and by the authority of the State of
Florida and the prisoner appearing in open Court
in his proper person and being demanded how
he would acquit himself of the Charge against
him saith that he is not guilty as the Indict-
ment alleges against him -
Whereupon
the prisoner was remanded to Jail
