Spring Term AD 1889 --
Tuesday May 7th 1889 --
At a regular Term of the Circuit Court after
Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida in and for the
County of Alachua for the Spring Term AD 1889
begun and holden at the Court House in
the City of Gainesville in the County of Alachua
the following proceedings were begun and held to wit
At which was present His Honor J.J.
Finley Judge of the 5th Judicial Circuit
of Florida presiding, Hon William H. Wigg
States attorney for the fifth Judicial
Circuit of Florida
Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff of Alachua
County Florida and J.A. Carlisle Clerk
of this Court.
And now comes Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff
of Alachua County and returns the
Venire Facias for the Grand Jury as having
been executed by Summoning the following named
persons to wit: --
1 J.B. Mixson 2. E.D. Phifer 3 W.H. Smoke 4 B.F. Camp
5 Wiltz Zeinher 6 Samuel Harvill 7. M.H. Ormand
9. W.H. West 10. M.J. Ward, 11. I.U. Malphurs, 12
A.G. Colclough, 13. S.W. Polk 14. O.D. Morris 15
Jno E. Mathews, 16 T.H. Cato, 17 Jno F. Perry 18
R.C. Bradley =
Whereupon the panel of the Grand Jury being
now called then came -- 1 J.B. Mixson, 2
E.D. Phifer 3 W.H. Smoke, 4 Wiltz Zeinher 5
Samuel Harvill 6 M.H. Ormand 7 W.H. West
8 Johnson Hagood 9. I.U. Malphurs - 10 A.G.
Colclough 11 S.W. Polk 12 O.D. Morris 13 John
E. Mathews 14 T.H. Cato 15. John F. Perry and 18
R.C. Bradley - .
Whereupon B.F. Camp, and M.J. Ward who
had failed to appear to serve as Grand
Jurors although commanded so to do the
Court ordered that a fine of Twenty dollars
be entered against each of said defaulting
