        Spring Term  AD 1889
               Wednesday May 8th 1889 -
        and in open Court withdraws their pleas filed
        herein Whereupon a Jury was called and there
        came M.B. Saunders  John Vaugh  B.C. Johnson
        Wm Adams  C.J. Rivers and F.G. Hagood who were
        duly Sworn and empanelled to well and truly
        assess the Damages herein and thereafter after
        hearing the evidence retired to Consider of their
        Verdict and thereafter on the Same day returned
        into open Court and rendered the following
        Verdict to wit: We the Jury find for the Plaintiffs
        and assess their damages at Three hundred
        and forty four 02/100 Dollars so say we all
        May 8th 1889 -             M.B. Saunders
                                       Foreman
        Whereupon it is ordered Considered and adjudged
        by the Court that the Plaintiffs do have and re-
        Cover of and from the Defendants the Sum of
        Three hundred and forty four 02/100 ($34402) Dollars
        for their damages together with their Costs in
        this behalf expended taxed at Ten 02/100 ($1002)
        Dollars and the Defendants in mercy &c

                            And now on this day this
        cause came on to be heard and the parties
        Plaintiff and Defendant being in open
        Court by their attorneys and now the issues being
        joined a Jury was called and there came
        Wm H. Thompson  Wm Bates, W.A. Porter  W.G.
        Shehee C.D. Wood and C.M. Weeks who
        were duly Sworn and empanelled to well and
        truly try the issues joined according to the
        evidence and thereafter after hearing the
        evidence the argument of Counsel and the
        Charge of the Court retired to consider of
        their Verdict under instructions from the
        Court to bring in a sealed verdict on tomorrow
        morning at nine oclock

        Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
        morning at nine oclock
