                         And now this Cause Came
       on to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney
       prosecuting in the name and by the authority of
       the State of Florida and the prisoner appearing
       in open Court in his own proper person as
       well as by S.Y. Finley Esqr his atty and being
       demanded how he would acquit himself of
       the charge against him saith that he is
       not guilty as the Indictment alleges against
       him and for good and evil he puts himself
       upon God and the Country for trial -

                         And now on this day this 
       cause came on to be heard William H. Wigg 
       State attorney prosecuting in the name and by

       Finley Esqr and being demanded how he
