Monday May 13th 1889
the prisoner appearing in open Court in his
own proper person as well as by Mess Ashby &
Thrasher his atty was demanded how he
would acquit himself of the Charges against
him saith that he is not guilty as the
Indictment alleges against him and for
good and evil he puts himself upon God and
the Country for trial
Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at Nine Oclock

The Court met this day pursuant to

Henry Outler and } building in day time with
Morris Crockett } intent to commit a misdemeanor
} Goss & Fileds
And now this Cause Came
on to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney pro
secuting in the name and by the authority of the
State of Florida and the Prisoners who had
been arraigned herein in open Court on the 13th
instant appearing in open Court in their own
proper persons as well as by their attorneys Mess
J.H. Goss & C.L. Fileds Whereupon a Jury was Called
and then came W.H. Harrison R.C. Bennett W.M.
Avent - T.L. Brown, E.A. Jeffords and E.W. Smith
who were duly Sworn and empanelled to well
and truly try the difference pending according to
the evidence and thereafter after hearing the evidence
the argument of Counsel and the Charge of the
Court retired to consider of their verdict and
thereafter on the Same day returned into open
Court and rendered the following verdict to wit:
We the Jury find the Defendants Guilty
