       Spring Term A.D. 1889
          Tuesday May 21st 1889
       State of Florida }  Wigg
# 52          vs        }  Murder
       Isaac Montgomery }  S.Y. Finley
                        }  And now on this day this
       Cause came on to be heard William H. Wigg
       State attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit
       of the State of Florida prosecuting in the 
       name and by the authority of the State of
       Florida and the prisoner Isaac Montgomery
       appearing in open Court in his own proper
       person as well as by S.Y. Finley Esqr his attorney
       And now the Prisoner Isaac Montgomery being
       brought to the bar here under the Custody of
       Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff of Alachua County to
       which Sheriff he is also likewise Committed and
       being forthwith demanded how he would
       acquit himself of the Charge against him
       saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment
       alleges against him and for good and evil he
       puts himself upon God and the Country for trial -

       Neptune Tisdale  }  Murder
                        }     J.O. Cosby
                          And now this Cause came
       on to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney
       prosecuting in the name and by the authority of
       the State of Florida and the prisoner appearing in
       open Court in his own proper person as well
       as by his Atty J.O. Cosby Esqr was arraigned
       and upon his arraignment saith that he is
       guilty of an aggravated assault

               vs       }  Sentence
       Neptune Tisdale  }
                          And now the prisoner being
       in open Court for sentence was demanded if
       he had any thing to say why sentence should
       not be passed upon him saith nothing
       Whereupon the Court sentenced the prisoner to
       Confinement in the County Jail at hard
       labor for the space of six (6) Months -
