        Fall Term A.D. 1881
         Wednesday November 30th A.D. 1881 -
        Taylor & Sanchez and now the prisoner being brought to the
        Bar here under the custody of John W. Turner Sheriff of Alachua
        County to which Sheriff he is also likewise committed and
        being forthwith demanded how he would acquit himself
        of the charge against him Saith that he is not guilty as
        the Indictment alleges against him and for good and
        evil he puts himself upon God and the Country for trial
        Whereupon a Jury was called and there came,
        1 E.W. Smith 2. John Burnett 3 H.M. Tillis 4 Geo Gatlin
        5 J.B. Mixson 6 F.F. Paulling who were duly Sworn and
        empowered to well and truly try the difference pending
        between the State of Florida and the prisoner at
        the Bar according to the evidence and thereafter after
        hearing the evidence the argument of Counsel and the
        Charge of the Court retired to consider of their
        verdict under instructions from the Court to bring
        in a sealed verdict --

        Whereupon V.H. Ellis and Hayward Bell who
        had been duly drawn and Summoned to Complete
        the panel of the Grand Jury being now in open
        Court were duly Sworn as Grand Jurors -

        Whereupon the Court adjourned until ten
        Oclock tomorrow Morning

        Fall Term A.D. 1881
             Thursday December 1st 1881
        The Court met pursuant to adjournment his
        Honor James B. Dawkins Judge presiding

        State of Florida }  W.A. Hocker
No 15            vs      }  Embezzlement
        Otho P. Gilbert  }  Taylor & Sanchez
                         }  And now the Jurors who had
        on yesterday retired to consider of their verdict
        Came into open Court and rendered the
        following verdict to wit: We the Jury find
        the prisoner not guilty  J.B. Mixson
                                      Foreman
        Whereupon the prisoner was discharged
