The Court met this day pursuant to adjournment
of yesterday His Honor J.J. Finley Judge presi-
ding

Isaac Montgomery } Finley
And now William H.
Wigg State Attorney prosecuting in the name
and by the authority of the State of Florida and
also the prisoner Isaac Montgomery being in
open Court in his own proper person as well
by his attorney S.Y. Finley Esqr as also the
Jury who had been duly Sworn and empan-
elled herein on the 27th Instant to wit: J.H.
Waters W.W. Carter Martin Huggins, James Croxton
J.D. Martin J.B. Davis, W.J.G. Adams W.K.
Boston Osborn Ellis W.W. Mott J.G. Hodges
J.I. Roberts being now in open Court the
hearing of this Cause was resumed and the
Jury aforesaid after hearing the argument
of Counsel and the Charge of the Court retired
to Consider of their verdict and thereafter on the Same
day returned into open Court and rendered the
following verdict to wit: We the Jury find the
defendant guilty of manslaughter in the third
degree W.W. Carter

William Canty } a building in night
Anderson Williams } time with intent to
William Purrey } Commit a Felony

And now this Cause
Came on to be heard William H. Wigg
State attorney prosecuting in the name
and by the authority of the State of Florida
and the prisoner Anderson Williams
appearing in open Court in his own
proper person as well as by his attorney
was demanded how he would acquit him-
self of the Charge against him Saith
that he is not guilty as the Indictment
