And now this Cause coming
on to be heard W.A. Hocker States Attorney pros-
ecuting in the name and by the authority of
the State of Florida and the prisoner appear-
ing in his own proper person as well as by his
attorneys saith he is not guilty as the Indict-
ment alleges and for good and even he puts him-
self upon God and the Country for Trial Where-
upon a Jury was called and there came
E.W. Smith A. Strickland, J.M. Endel, Jno Burnett
Geo Gatlin & H.M. Tillis who were duly sworn and
empanelled to try the issue joined and thereafter
after hearing the evidence the argument of
Counsel and the Charge of the Court retired to
consider of their verdict and thereafter on the
same day came into open Court and rendered the
following verdict to wit: We the Jury find the
prisoner not Guilty J.M. Endel Foreman
Whereupon the prisoner was discharged -
Whereupon the Court fined George Brown for
contempt of Court the Sum of Three dollars
Whereupon the Grand Jury came into open Court
and rendered the following Indictments of the
