Tuesday June 4th 1889
by his attorney Mess Lambeth, Hampton, Carter and Taylor
and now the prisoner Tennison Hook being brought to
the bar here under the custody of Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff
of Alachua County to which Sheriff he is also likewise
committed and being forthwith demanded how he would
acquit himself of the Charge against him saith that
he is not guilty as the Indictment alleges against him
and for good and evil he puts himself upon God and
the Country for trial whereupon a Jury was called and there
came W.H. Gay J.P. Hall Leonard Guthery -
Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at nine oclock

And now comes Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff of
Alachua County and returns the Venire Facias
issued out of this Court on the 3rd Instant for
Fifty Jurors as having been executed by sum

Whereupon the Court for good Cause shown
