} And now William H. Wigg
State attorney prosecuting in the name and
by the authority of the State of Florida and the
prisoner Tennison Hook who had been arraigned
herein on the 4th Instant being in open Court
in his own proper person as well as by his attorneys
Mess Lambeth Hampton Carter & Taylor as also
like wise the Jurors who had been selected
him on yesterday to wit: W.H. Gay, J.P. Hall
and Leonard Guthrey the hearing of this cause
was resumed and there came W.H. Gay, J.P. Hall
Leonard Guthrey, Gilbert Gay, W.R. Stevens J.P.
Wells, Jas Exley M.G. McCarroll J.V. Wiggins
G.N. Desha Ivin Holder E.C. Pound and now
comes the Defendant and perremptorily challen-
ges J.P. Hall and Leonard Guthrey - and now comes
William H. Wigg state attorney and perremptorily
challenges M.G. McCarroll - and now there
comes W.R. Stevens J.P. Wells Jas Exley Thos Mikell
J.V. Wiggins G.N. Desha Ivin Holder E.C. Pound
E.B. Berry Frank Rucker who were duly
Sworn to well and truly try and true deliverance
make between the state of Florida and the prisoner
at the bar according to the evidence And now
comes J.S. Maxwell who has been appointed
Stenographer for the Court and is duly Sworn
as such stenographer and the Jurors aforesaid
after hearing a part of the evidence -
Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at nine oclock
