say, that they have been acquainted with Xavier Erbland now
applying for citizenship, for five years last past, that during that
time, he has resided in Earlton, in said State and County that he
has behaved himself as a man of good moral character attached
to principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed
to the good order and happiness of the same

Alachua County   } Germany, do solemnly swear that I do hereby
absolutely and forever renounce and disown all allegiance and
Fidelity to any foreign Prince Potentate State and Sovereignty whatsoever,
particularly William the second Emperor of Germany and to the
Government of Germany, And I do further swear that I will bear true
faith Loyalty and Allegiance to the Government of the United
States, and to the utmost of my ability, support and defend the Constitution
thereof and the Constitution of the State of Florida, so help me God.

Alachua County   } Alachua County Fla.
It appearing to the Court here, that Xavier Erbland did on the 26th
day of February 1874 file his declaration of intention at the Court
held in the City of Paducah State of Kentucky to become a citizen
of the United States, in terms of the laws of Congress of the United
States in such case made & provided and the said Xavier Erbland
having produced satisfactory evidence of good moral character,
and of the evidence required, and of his attachment to the principles
of the Constitution of the United States, and of his good disposition
towards the Government thereof, It is considered, adjudged by
the Court that the said Xavier Erbland, be and he is hereby admitted
to all the rights immunities and privileges of a Citizen
of the United States, in terms of the Constitution and laws there-
of And it is further ordered that the Clerk of this Court do issue
to said Xavier Erbland a certified copy of these proceedings
Given and ordered in open Court this 11th day of June A.D. 1889
