Tuesday December 10th 1889 -
At a regular term of the Circuit Court of the
5th Judicial Circuit of Florida Alachua
County For the Fall Term A.D. 1889 - begin
and holden at the Court House in the
City of Gainesville in Alachua County
Florida the following proceedings were begun
and held to wit:
At which was present His Honor J.J.
Finley Judge, of the 5th Judicial Circuit
of Florida Hon W.H. Wigg States attorney
for the 5th Judicial Circuit of Florida
Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff of Alachua
County and J.A. Carlisle Clerk of this
Court
And now comes Samuel H, Wienges
Sheriff of Alachua County and returns
the Venire Facias for the Grand Jury as
having been executed by Summoning
1 Walter C. Miller, 2 J.A. Brock 3 C.C. Drummond
4 E.T. Findley 5 James Chesnut 6 J.A. Rider
7 B.K. Sullivan 8 Geo Easterlin 9 B.W. Fontane
10 C.C. Doke 11 F.E. Williams - and that
1 H.S. Weller 2 W.S. Land 3 Hugh Grainger
4 J.R. Gracy, 5 H.A. Blake, 6 T.B. Knight
7 W.T. Jackson are not to be found in
the County
Whereupon
The Court for good Cause shown
excused Walter C. Miller E.T. Findley
and F.E. Williams from further attendance
on the Court
Whereupon the Grand Jury was called and
there came, 1 J.A. Brock 2 C.C. Drummond
3 James Chesnut, 4 J.A. Rider 5, B. Sullivan
6 Geo Easterlin, 7 B.W. Fontane, 8 C.C. Doke
Whereupon the Court issued the following
order to wit,
it appearing to the Court that
there is a deficiency of Ten Grand Jurors
to complete the panel of said Grand Jury
It is therefore ordered that a Venire Facias
be issued out of this Court directed
