  Application of John Danson to become a
Citizen of the United States - Petition =
To the Honorable J.J. Finley Judge of said Court
  And now on this day Comes John Danson
and makes application to this Honorable Court to
be made a Citizen of the United States, and
thereupon Showeth unto your Honor that on the
17th day of January A.D. 1884 Your Petitioner
filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court in and for Clay County Florida his declaration
of intention to become a Citizen of the United
States as required by p paragraph First of Section
2165 of the revised statutes of the United States
as will appear by a Certified Copy thereof attached
hereto as exhibit "A"
Petitioner further Showeth unto your Honor that he
(Petitioner) has resided Continuously in the United
States of America for more than five years prior to
this date and that during this time I have behaved
as a man of good moral Character attached to the
principles of the Constitution of the United States
and well disposed to the good order and happiness
of the same
Your Petitioner pays that the Court do grant an
order admitting this Petitioner to Citizenship of the
United States of America as provided by law in such
cases, And your Petitioner will ever pray &c
