    Fall Term  A.D. 1889
    Thursday Jany 16th 1890
by the authority of the State of Florida and the
prisoner Andrew J. Collins being in open
Court for the purpose of arraignment in his
proper person as well as by Chas L. Flildes
and S.Y. Finly his attorneys and now the prisoner
Andrew J. Collins being brought to the Bar here under
the Custody of Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff of
Alachua County to which Sheriff he is likewise
Committed was forthwith demanded how he
would acquit himself of the Charge against
him Saith that he is not guilty as the
Indictment alleges against him and that
for good and evil he puts himself upon God
and the Country for trial =

State of Florida }  Wigg
        vs       }  Breaking and entering a building in
Willis Brinson   }  day time with intent to Commit a
                 }  misdemeanor -
                 }  W.H. Palmer
                   And now on this day this Cause
came on to be heard William H. Wigg State
attorney prosecuting in the name and by the
authority of the State of Florida and the prisoner
being in open Court in his proper person
as well as by his attorney W.H. Palmer and being
demanded how he would acquit himself
of the Charge against him saith that he
is not guilty as the Indictment alleges against
him and for good and evil he puts himself
upon God and the Country for trial whereupon
a Jury was called and there came D.H.
Merchant A.J. Palmer J.M. Miller Jr. E.K.
Roberts T.E. Jones Louis Kinsey who were
duly Sworn and empanelled to well and 
truly try the difference pending according to the
evidence and thereafter after hearing the
evidence the argument of Counsel and the
Charge of the Court retired to consider of
their Verdict and thereafter on the Same day
returned into open Court and rendered the
following Verdict to wit:- We the Jurors
find the prisoner guilty So say we all
this the 16 of Jany 1890    D.H. Merchant
