       Samuel Hathcock  }  And now this cause
       is continued until the next term of the Court -
       by consent

       Dave Lewis       }  C.L. Fildes
                            And now this Casue came
       on to be heard William H. Wigg State attorney
       prosecuting in the name and by the authority of
       the State of Florida and the prisoner Dave
       Lewis appearing in open Court in his proper
       person as well as by his attorney C.L. Fildes
       for the purpose of arraignment and now the
       prisoner being brought to the Bar herein under
       the Custody of Samuel H. Wienges Sheriff of
       Alachua County to which Sheriff he is also
       like wise Committed and being forthwith de-
       manded how he would acquit himself of the
       Charge against him saith that he is not
       guilty as the Indictment alleges against
       him and for good and evil he puts himself
       upon God and the Country for trial
