Wednesday Jany 29th 1890
Motion shall be granted Whereupon Comes
William H. Wigg State attorney and in open
Court Challenges Geo W. Stroble, W.C. Hague Julius
W. Thomas and C.W. Forster for cause they having
been drawn from the list of Three hundred as
selected by the Board of County Commissioners on
the first Monday in January A.D. 1890 to the Chal-
lenging of which said James the Defendant by his
attorneys then and there except -
Whereupon the Court issued the following order
to wit
In Circuit Court Alachua County
Fall Term 1889 -
There being no Petit Jury drawn and Sum-
moned in the manner provided by law - for
this the sixth week of the Regular Fall Term
It is ordered that a special Venire for Eighteen
persons qualified to serve as Petit Jurors
be issued by Clerk directed to the Sheriff
Commanding him to Summon Eighteen persons
duly qualified to serve as Petit Jurors said
Petit Jurors to be Summoned from the body of
the County at Large and that said Venire be
returned on Friday next of 10 AM

Court and in open Court issues the Special
Venire as by the order of the Court directed

And now this cause came
on to be heard and William H. Wigg State attorney
prosecuting in the name and by the authority of
the State of Florida and the prisoner appearing in
open Court in his proper person was arraigned
and upon his arraignment saith that he is guilty
as the Indictment alleges against him
