day of January A.D. 1890 being in open Court in
his proper person as well as by his attorneys C.L.
Fildes, S.Y. Finley & Taylor & Carter the hearing of this
Cause resumed Whereupon a Jury was called and
there came F.D. Peterson, J.B. Matthews, J.M. Love
W.H. Holbrook M.I. Jones J.M. Everett A.J. Weeks
Burrell Wiggins Wm Mills D.G. Harvard and J.A.
Barry, Whereupon the States attorney comes and
now challenges preemptively J.B. Matthews and
A.J. Weeks - Whereupon there came 1 F.D. Peterson
2 J.M. Love, 3 W.H. Holbrook 4 M.I. Jones 5 J.M.
Everett 6 Burrell Wiggins 7 Wm Mills D.G.
Harvard 9 J.A. Barry, and now the Venire is
exhausted
Whereupon the
Court issued the following order to wit:-
In Circuit Court Alachua County
Fall Term 1889
State of Florida }
vs } Murder
A.J. Collins }
The panel of Jurors being
exhausted by Challenge and otherwise it is
ordered that a Special Venire for Twenty Five
persons legally qualified to serve as Jurors -
be issued to complete the panel in this Cause
said Venire to be Summoned from the County at
Large and returnable at 10 A.M. Feby 1st 1890
